Our Story

Nick is a second-generation painter…

who learned the importance of quality craftsmanship and customer service by working for his father’s painting business growing up. He is a graduate of Lock Haven University with a degree in Business Administration.

Nick started painting when he was 15 years old for his fathers painting company. Growing up Nick learned the value of hard work and always delivering a quality product to the client, no matter what.

His positive attitude and strong worth ethic was instilled in him at a young age. While some kids were out playing during summer breaks, Nick continued painting during his summers and time off from school.

Nick credits his parents for instilling strong work ethic and values. “They taught me to be honest, always give my best and treat everyone with the same respect.”

After college Nick initially chose a different path. He went to work for a training and consulting company. While he enjoyed traveling to different cities and the professional relationships he developed over the 3 years, he wanted a change.

After working with his father and brother for a few years, Nick decided to take the plunge and begin his own painting business.

Their family first attitude is not the only reason for going their separate way, but its what keeps them so close today.

Nick was very fortunate in 2009 when he started on his own to lean on his father for guidance in the painting business. He decided to break off and begin his own company.

His father continues to play a part in his company. That relationship has continued and is still present today. “I talk to him daily. He’s usually my first phone call when I need some advice”

Nick is passionate not only about providing his clients with the highest quality service but also making sure the correct products are being used on their clients homes.

“Our team continues to grow with honest, hardworking professionals who share our companies core values.” Training is a weekly accordance at Lauro Painting. “Hire good people, and train them how to be great painters.”

Nick believes in always being there for his team. He is truly hands on in training new staff and you might even catch him on a ladder, helping one of his crews completing a job.

Nick has built a team of individuals that truly work as a team. Their team atmosphere and positive attitude creates not only a good environment for their staff but most importantly their customers.

He brings his 20+ years of painting experience to training all of his staff members. “We are a team, no person is better then the next. I will get my hands dirty often and will do whatever it takes to complete a job the right way.”

He attributes his success to the dedicated staff working with him and his supportive family.

At home Nick and his wife Kasey have three children, Reese, Leo, Blake and a Boxer Dexter.
